Detroit Door of Opportunity

DMJ Studios is exhibiting a number of Doors of Opportunity at North End Gallery and Studios. Each artist was given a 7' x 3' door from Home Depot. I don't know how some people got these things home. I drive a 98 volvo wagon and it was up over my head while driving. The size is awesome and seeing 45 of them front-to-back is going to be incredibly impressive. I wrote a story titled "Sidewalks" and submitted to the fiction magazine, Glimmer Train. It was rejected, but that is ok. I've been submitting to GT for years and have never once been accepted. It's ok. It's a premier magazine. The importance for any writer or artist to realize is that the working, the creating, the process being formed and experienced are all crucially important vehicles to further understanding yourself, the world and story.
